***My Fashion Styling Class at SOFA***

How I missed our tambayan's and dvd marathon at home after school during college days,  my  never ending model hunt during my vocational course in haircutting & hairdressing class, the Human Anatomy book during the  massage therapy class.
The interesting lessons I've learned in Advertising from the industry's educationalists during my  Post-grad classes in La Salle Graduate School plus the free dinner and desserts. haha! :D

So I decided to enroll in SOFA Fashion Capsules: Celebrity Fashion Styling with Alyanna Martinez.

So anyway...
I went to The School of Fashion and the Arts, located in 55 Paseo de Roxas Makati City...

I was kinda aloof at first because it was my first time to attend a fashion related class.
On the other hand the good thing was the people from fashion industry have a common denominator with the advertising people they have unique style and undoubtedly charm that will win the hearts of people everywhere.

While waiting for the  class to start, I've met a nice girl and she's a 20 year old student from UP her name is Kat Crisostomo.

So what's inside SOFA???

Well, as you enter their low rise yet very cozy and nice designed building  you can read inspirational words along the hallway.

You will also find  a lined up of mannequins inside the classroom. Awww... I want to have one of these asap for my online shop.

The pretty girls who are manning the registration of our class handed us out these free stuffs:
*keyboard pad and denim mini notebook cover from Levi's.
*magazines from Speed
*discount coupons from Hair piece, Vita and Renegade Folks.
*a summer catalogue from SM Department store

***All about Alyanna***

For those who don't know  Alyanna Martinez, she's the daughter of Philippine actor and actress Albert & Liezel Martinez, so stop wondering where she got her beautiful genes. haha! : P

I love listening to her stories, she's also very lively and sparky aside from that she's determined and hard working.

According to her, since high school she's already exposed in fashion styling in Meg and Seventeen.
However, she decided to take up a course in Advertising in Ateneo de Manila than fashion courses.
She also worked in Preview Magazine for two years as an Editor Assistant then transferred to Star Magic and ABS-CBN.
As of now she decided to become a freelance but well known Celebrity Fashion Stylist.

I was amazed when I find out that she's the stylist of some of my fashion icons like Ruffa Guttierez, Maricar de Meza and latest on my fashion icon list Solenn Heussaff.

I'm so in-love with her shoes.... <3 <3 <3

They also distributed  a guidelines about our fashion styling capsule.

My jaw dropped down when I saw her collection of unique accessories from here and abroad.

Our gorgeous instructor

I'm also in love with her portable fashion luggage
.

She also enlightened us by showing the techniques of fashion styling.

My very attentive classmates... :)

Guess what??!!

I'm one of the lucky 5 students who will attend the Philippine Fashion week for  Forever 21 and I'll be sitting in the front row! yeepee! :)

Yay! I already got my fashion styling certificate. :)

I also met some nice and fashion lover people.

Meet Heart, Mika and Erika.

Believe it or not, the three of them are sisters. So cute! :)

Quotable quotes:

You can't buy style but you can hire a great fashion stylist.

You may have money to buy beautiful and expensive designer clothes but only rare people can put them together and make them look good.

I hope you had fun reading!

***The Science City of Muñoz***

Hey lovelies, my bff and her husband pick me up at home to visit  the Science City of Muñoz.

It is approximately 147 km North from Manila and acknowledged as the center of agricultural research and technology in Central Luzon. With its rich topography and tropical climate, it is now home to the premiere agricultural centers committed to the production of information and technological breakthroughs to promote rural development, productivity and food security.
From its lowly origins as “Sitio Papaya”, it was rechristened as Muñoz in 1886 in honor of Spanish Governor Don Francisco Muñoz. It was in 1913, under Executive Order No. 72, wherein
Muñoz was declared as a new and independent municipality.

Who would have thought that this University also has a secret forest and beautiful trees.

We also went to the dairy farm...

Thanks!

Paint the town red

Hello you lovelies out there, my blog update today hasn’t been the best and now I show up in the late evening. Expecting you to read this post. Probably because I myself always read my favorite blogs just before I go to sleep, a bad habit I’m now turning into an even worse habit: posting late. Hope you don’t mind.

I've been doing our marketing research all this evening for my marketing plan which is due next week.
While browsing my documents, I found these photos from the Holidays of 2009. As far as I could my remember I was searching for a new purse for my graduation in DLSU.

I love the pop of red it gives an outfit. I wore printed red scarf which I bought in Malaysia.

The place was full of the traditional Christmas plant which  is the beautiful poinsettia, Euphorbia Pulcherrima.

Here are the detail of my casual outfit:

Printed scarf: I bought in Malaysia
Charcoal gray bag: gift from my Aunt
Flat shoes with heart design: I bought in Singapore
White sando: Plain and Prints

Thank you!

***Sitting on a Stargazer***

My sister & I decided to shop on a fine Saturday afternoon at one of the most comfortable malls around.
Then luckily we came across to an event about skin products that has a cute stargazer chair that you could sit on.
Fortunately,I am wearing an army green Greek goddess inspired top that I paired with olive headband which was a good combination with the gigantic flower chair.

Heading to the mall by Metro train...which is also the fastest way to get there.

***Style of Angelina Jolie***

Just when we thought she couldn’t add anything else to her agenda, Angelina Jolie proves us wrong once again. She has the man of her dreams, the cutest kids, best selling movies, the philanthropic work, and last but not least, her own jewelry line. Partnering up with her jeweler, Robert Procop, Jolie has created some exquisite pieces for her line titled Style of Jolie. “She has been involved, every step of the way,” jeweler Procop tells the media. “She wanted to create some beautiful art around jewels with the mission of helping children.” Jolie has been working with Procop on this line since August of 2010 creating storyboards, researching gems and metals and considering various designs. “Angelina has a very classic style. She is very chic and contemporary,” Procop explains. “The collection is what she enjoys wearing on the red carpet, but also what she enjoys wearing when she’s at home.”

4 reasons why Angelina Jolie’s jewelry line is different from other celebrity collections

When I first heard about Angelina Jolie’s new jewelry line, I thought she’d sold out. Turns out, her baubles collection carries more weight than other star lines. Here’s why:

  1. It’s expensive. Piecesstart at $4,000, a far cry from JewelMint and the department store collections top designer and celebrities often downsize for. But that’s because Jolie’s out to raise cash, not earn it. Sales benefit the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, so while she’ll sell fewer items than if she partnered with Macy’s, Jolie’s charity bank will still fill up fast — relatively speaking, of course. Another reason for the higher price? Jolie —a good UN Ambassador for years — isn’t likely to pawn off fast fashion manufacturers to make her jewelry. Expect them to be crafted by talented artisans in fair working conditions. No blood diamonds in this bunch.

2. She’s only serving private, invite-only clients (at least for now). You’ve got to be a special somebody to be offered a look at Angelina’s jewelry collection for now, since she’s most likely not wasting her time showing pieces unless clients are ready to buy up quickly. Jolie may design a lower-end collection from Middle American buyers, but that’s still to be worked out.

3. The jewelery’s on the road. To reach clients around the world without wasting money on overhead for retail space, Jolie’s collection is a traveling one. Starting in Beverly Hills and then moving on to Monaco, the limited availability may also inspire her audience to impulse buy, which is good for charity.

4. It’s probably not junk: An extension of reason #1, Jolie’s pieces cost a lot and are most likely going to be manufactured by legitimate vendors. Therefore, the higher price tag means really beautiful, long-lasting jewelry you’d be proud to pass on.

Thank you for reading. :)

***Kate Middleton's wedding dress***

Here it is, the Royal gown of Kate Middleton simple yet very classic and elegant. It also suits her personality and style.

According to an article, the reason the palace did not announce the designer's name was to protect Cranston and her family from media scrutiny for as long as possible, and to allow her the freedom to create the wedding gown of Catherine's dreams without additional pressures and distractions. It's stressful enough to make an unforgettable gown that will be seen by billions around the world and which will be immortalized in royal and fashion history.

34-year-old Cranston is young but certainly not short on talent.
Cranston won the Designer of the Year Award at London's Graduate Fashion Week in 1999 and then went on to hone her design skills under the tutelage of Alexander McQueen before going into business with Alice Temperley to create the Temperley label in 2000. A couple of years later, Cranston left for Andalusia, Spain to pursue her interest in flamenco and her time at Costa La Luz inspired her to create her own label Libélula, which means dragonfly in Spanish. The line is known for its feminine, figure-flattering silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and vibrant use of colors and prints. There is also a small ready-to-wear and bespoke bridal collection, according to her website.
Even the Princess Diana's wedding dress designer praises Kate Middleton wedding dress.
According to an article at http://www.mirror.co.uk,
The designer of the wedding dress worn by Princess Diana when she married the Prince of Wales predicted Kate's would be copied for years to come.
Elizabeth Emanuel said the simplicity of the Sarah Burton creation would flatter a range of women's figures and would prove a popular choice among those wishing to emulate Kate's elegance.
"I think the thing about that dress is it's very wearable and that style would fit so many different shapes, I'm sure it's going to be a very coveted look and there will be copies of it from tomorrow onwards," she said.

Speaking outside Buckingham Palace, she gave her thumbs up to the design, praising its beauty and marvelling at the craftsmanship involved in the making of it.
"It was very simple, very classic," she said. "I loved the details on it, the lace in particular because I've always admired lace.
"A huge amount of work will have gone into it."
She also admired the lack of "clutter" around the side, adding: "I think it's going to set new trends."
The dress Diana wore when she walked down the aisle in 1981 broke with tradition, she said, whereas Kate had brought a traditional element to her wedding with her choice of attire.
"The whole thing worked very well," she added. "It was a very regal dress and, I thought, perfect because she looked like Kate. It was the Kate everyone loved, looking beautiful and elegant."

I hope you like it!
