How to look younger than your age

"Cheerfulness and contentment are great beautifiers and are famous preservers of youthful looks." -- Charles Dickens

Here are a few beauty tricks that will make you look younger than your age.

1. Keep your hair between your chin and your shoulders.
Side-swept bangs and hair no longer than your shoulders will take off years
The Most-Flattering Haircut on Everyone
*Shoulder-length is universally the most flattering length. Think about it: No matter how tall or short you are, no matter how fat or narrow your face is, no matter how frizzy or curly your locks, you will look good in shoulder-length hair.

Or want to keep it long but still looks younger?

*There is One Long Cut that's Universally Flattering
The 'v-cut' is long in the back and shorter along the sides. This cut works because the length is in the back and not around the face. Lip and chin-grazing layers on the side add to the sexy allure.

Small forehead? Consider bangs that start further back on the head and that are as long as possible.

Big forehead? Bangs are flattering because they cover up the 'IMAX' screen. Side-sweeping bangs are the most flattering look for you. According to 'Confessions,' bangs are flattering when they are longer at the temples than in the middle.

2. Wrong lipstick shades can age you
Another trick to looking younger is to steer clear of brown lipstick shades. Avoid matte lipstick as they tend to settle into your lip lines. Instead, try creamier lipsticks or glosses. (Glosses are especially youthful and make your lips appear bee-stung).

*Don't play up the eyes and the mouth Women who wear heavy eye makeup and dark lipstick can look clownish. If you want to wear red lipstick, keep the rest of your makeup light.

If you are playing up the eyes, keep your mouth light with a gloss or light lip color that doesn't stand out.

3. Stick to creamy blushes and shadows
Older skin usually means dry skin, so creamy blushes and shadows are your best bet. Also, powder blushes and shadows tend to settle into your fine lines and wrinkles, while creamier products "plump" up your skin.

4. Define those eyes
Curled lashes immediately make eyes "pop." One tip I love I learned from the editors of Allure: You can curl your lashes AFTER mascara application, just make sure the mascara has dried. I find lining my eyes helps make my somewhat tiny eyes look 10 times larger.
In my case I rarely leave the house wearing mascara, instead I’m just using an eye liner to make my eyes looks larger and contact lenses. If there’s an occasion or during night out’s I use false eyelashes.

5. Don't overpluck
Once you hit your 30s, you'll want to be careful not to overpluck your eyebrows since brows are less apt to grow back if you excessively pluck.
* The worst thing one can do is overpluck. Well, not the worst. But be careful because once plucked, your eyebrows can take months to eventually grow back. Until that happens, fill in bare spots with a brow powder or pencil. Use light, feathery strokes to create a realistic look, rather then drawing a line. Set the color with brow gel.
Quick tips:
1. Find a pencil color that matches your brows as closely as possible.
2. Don't have a pencil on hand? Try an eyeshadow that matches your brows, you can fill in color with shadow, although it may not look as realistic.
3. Pick up gel brow at any drugstore. No need to spend a lot of cash on this product.
4. Keep brows in place with a spritz of hairspray applied to finger or a toothbrush. Brush brows in place.
5. Next time, get brows professionally tweezed, waxed or threaded (my personal favorite). Follow the "map" created by the professional with a pair of tweezers in between salon visits. This will help keep you from overplucking again.

6. Try teeth whitening Over time, teeth may yellow from coffee, tea or red wine stains. You can whiten teeth quickly with over-the-counter products such as Crest Whitestrips.

7. Stand up straight. Think about all the sexy women you know. They stand up straight and confidently. Not only will this make you look ten pounds thinner in seconds, it will make you look five years younger as well.

8. Get a good night's sleep Few things age you overnight more than a poor night's sleep. Your eyes are puffy, your skin sallow and dull and your face sags.

I am all curves and flesh, not skin and bone and I'm proud of it. :)

I got this from my old blog, just want to share it with you guys. :)

Poured into a gold swimsuit, Make Me A Supermodel winner Jen Hunter looks as if this outfit was custom-made for her.
But the one-piece triggered a furious row about stick-thin models when her rival finalist Marianne Berglund appeared painfully underweight in the same attire.
Appearing here for the first time in the outfit which sparked the debate about size zero models, Miss Hunter - who was criticised on the show for being too fat - said: "This is what a real woman should look like.
"I am all curves and flesh, not skin and bone. Boys, who would you rather snuggle up to?"
Looking as different as chalk and cheese, the swimwear clings to Miss Hunter’s voluptuous curves and reveals acres of cleavage while on clinically underweight Miss Berglund, it shows her protruding hips and ribs and appears to hang off her.
Barmaid Miss Hunter, 24 - who weighs 11 stone and is a healthy size 12 - was reduced to tears when she was castigated on the reality TV show for not taking a food and exercise regime seriously.
Judge Tandy Anderson, managing director of Select Model Management, criticised her for having "stocky" legs while supermodel Rachel Hunter, a fellow panellist, reprimanded her for saying she wanted to prove larger women could be successful models.
Swedish blonde Miss Berglund, 18, who made it to the final with her, was meanwhile praised for having a "sensational" body for modelling despite having a body mass index of 16.1.
It fell well below the minimum BMI of 18 for models taking part in Madrid Fashion Week in September, set after catwalk model Luisel Ramos dropped dead from self-starvation.
But mother-of-one Miss Hunter triumphed when viewers voted her to the top female slot in the contest - and claimed she owed her success to her favourite dish of hotpot and chips.
In a refreshing admission which will have millions of women breathing a sigh of relief - and letting out their stomachs - she said: "It’s fantastic to know the public prefer a woman with a few wobbly bits over a stick insect.
"I am a northern lass - I like my hotpot and my shepherd’s pie and I have a very sweet tooth.
"My wardrobe is stuffed with clothes that don’t fit but I scrub up pretty well. I like to think men see me as a yummy mummy."
Her confession comes after a chorus of calls for the fashion industry to stop using stick-thin and underweight models. Designer Giorgio Armani recently took a stand by banning size zero models from his shows.
Wigan-born Miss Hunter, who beat five female hopefuls to the top slot after refusing to bow to pressure, claimed her win proved women could not relate to skinny models.
The divorcee triumphed over eight-stone Miss Berglund - who was dubbed "the walking skeleton" - but was beaten to the overall prize of a modelling contract by a male competitor.
In a blog diary she kept throughout the show, in which she cheekily gave herself the nickname "fat bird," she announced: "I am doing this for every hardworking single mum and every woman who isn’t a size eight or below.
"You don’t have to be a size eight to be beautiful. I am trying to change an industry that is so set in its ways and its definition of what is beautiful. It is so hard and harsh at times.
"You analyse every step you make, every mouth full of food you take. As long as I am being me, I am not going to regret anything I do."

Day out of tawny, tangerine & fuchsia

Hey Dolls,
My family and I came over to different wedding reception venues.

I wore my vintage dress along with a tawny sandals that I bought in Janilyn shoes.
I went for something casual since we were all just driving along different locations.
Oh and guess what!? We found beautiful places where we are hosting the reception for our wedding!! .
Next on the agenda is to decide for the final reception and then my wedding dress!!! (triple exclamation). I'm giving my body one more month to get down to a decent size so I don't have to alter
my dress too often. I already have my dream dress, it's
just the most beautiful fairytale dress. Let's just hope I can make this happened.

A day out for my coral, tangerine and fuchsia floral printed dress. :)

I wore my tawny gifted bag from US and Janilyn flat sandals with paper bag fabric.

A woman should have...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
.one old love …..

she can imagine going back to…
and one who reminds her of how far she has come.
; A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
.enough money within her

control to move out and
rent a place of her own
even if she never wants to or needs to…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
something perfect to wear if
the employer or date of her dreams
wants to see her in an hour…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
a youth she’s content to leave behind…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
.a past juicy enough that
she’s looking forward to retelling it in her old
age…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
a set of screwdrivers,
a cordless drill,
and a black lace bra…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
one friend who always makes her laugh …
and one who lets her cry…

; A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
a good piece of furniture
not previously owned by anyone else in her family…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
eight matching plates,
wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal
that will make her guests feel honored.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
a feeling of control over her destiny…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to fall in love without losing herself…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
.how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without ruining the
friendship…

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
.when to try harder …
and when to walk away…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that she can’t change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips,
or the nature of her parents…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
.that her childhood may not have been perfect…
but its over…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…..
.what she would and wouldn’t do for love or more…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
.how to live alone…
even if she doesn’t like it…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
who she can trust,
who she can’t,
and why she shouldn’t take it personally…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
where to go…
be it to her best friend’s kitchen table…
or a charming inn in the woods…
when her soul needs soothing…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she can and can’t accomplish
in a day…a month…and a year…
People say what we are all seeking is the meaning
of life…
I think what we’re really seeking is the experience
of being alive..

One fine casual day

It was a sunny day, I decided to go out with my bestfriend Gelyn. I wore something checkered plus bright yellow bag and belt. I didn't wear any accessories aside from a droplet crystal clear earring from my Tita in Australia to keep my outfit simple.
I want to keep it laid back and comfy that's why I wore a flat Skechers which was a gift from my best friend Beverly.
Yellow is also one of my favorite colors to lighten up my mood.  :)

My little shoe collection... compare to other collector it's very "konti".
